Community Health Nursing

The college is having a separate community health nursing lab 1500 Sq. feet. Area with all equipment’s for education and practice of students to be familiar with community situation and to learn the basic skill and nursing procedures which has to be performed in community settings.

We are having ample of A.V Aids to stimulate the students for the community health nursing practice. Community lab makes the students clinical experience an educational and enlightening one and promotes empowerment of students. Demonstration and re-demonstration of different procedures are done prior to their posting in community area. It also helps in problem solving and decision-making skills. Demonstration makes the learning more realistic and authentic.

Community health nursing lab ensures that the students learn home visiting bag technique and practice. Community health nursing procedure while providing family health care at the door steps of the clients with using modified home visit kits. Community health nursing laboratory helps students to develop desirable knowledge and attitude and skill for to ender comprehensive care to the individual, group, family and community. The Laboratory consists of models like ideal home ideal village different types of wells, methods of water purification etc.

The department prepares students to undertake the socially conscious task of providing health care to both rural and urban communities. Students are thought to recognize the importance of health, prevention of disease and promotion of positive health.
